After being obese for most of my childhood, I wanted to change my life for the better when the scale hit the tipping point of 130kg at just 14yrs of age. Since then I’ve been actively hitting the gym and making adjustments to my nutrition while pursuing more knowledge to better equip myself on this journey. Throughout the years, I’ve acquired a diploma in Sports Science, a Bachelors in Sports Studies as well as being certified in Strength and Conditioning (CSCS).
In the past 5 years of my experience as a personal trainer, I’ve seen my fair share of clients that came to me after trying multiple crash diets and workouts that promises to get them to their desired weight, only to quit midway through their endeavor because the methods employed were a combination of unsustainable low carb/calorie diets, hours of intense cardio and minimal strength training.
This lead to them feeling burnt out very quickly, resulting in poor health, feeling stressed out while making minimal progress or even worse, rebounding to a heavier weight than before.
I believe that proper strength training is the best way to a better physique and is essential to optimizing your health.
